Got Friends does not collect any data about you. There are no accounts, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising, and no developer servers. The people and talking points you save stay on your device.
Got Friends saves what you put into it — the names, phone numbers and optional photos of your people, the mascot you pick for each of them, your talking points, when you last contacted someone, and your daily reminder times. All of it is written to a private database inside the app's own storage on your iPhone or iPad.
Got Friends has no server component and sends nothing to the developer — your people and talking points are never uploaded, transmitted, sold or shared. One feature relies on an Apple service: when you add talking points by voice, the audio is transcribed by Apple's speech recognition, which may process it on Apple's servers under Apple's own privacy terms. The app only keeps the resulting text, never the audio. If your device backs up to iCloud or a computer, the app's data is included in that backup, controlled entirely by your own Apple settings.
Every permission is optional — the app works without them.
Because no data is collected, none is shared with third parties, and there is no tracking across apps or websites.
You can delete talking points or whole people inside the app at any time. Deleting the app from your device removes its database and everything in it. There is nothing stored elsewhere for us to delete.
Got Friends is suitable for general audiences and collects no information from anyone, including children.
If the app ever gains a feature that involves data leaving your device, this policy will be updated before that feature ships, and the change will be described here.
